Black-eared Wheatears & Small Coppers

This is the common Wheatear on Lesvos. They do get Northern Wheatear like us, and Isabelline Wheatear in the rocky uplands around Mont Ipsilou, but these melanoleuca B.E.W.s are absolutely everywhere. You get to know their call and song without reference to recordings. You see them without bins in the grounds of your hotel when you're going to breakfast. And it's great! Yes, we get these in Britain. But they looked so good among the Aegean understorey I couldn't resist a couple of pics ( I had my camera out ! ). More butterfly pics to get to as well. I'm doing things in chronological order...
