This juvenile has been hanging around lately but I've only got phonescoped shots in bad light. However, as I took these another resident falcon decided to join this one. The female Kestrel seemed to be aware that this was a young bird, otherwise I'm not sure she would have done what she did! See the above piece of video. The Hobbies don't seem to be around at the moment but I'm sure we'll get at least one soon, what with all the insect life about. Whimbrels are back on the estuary today with loads of Curlew too and Common Sands abundant. Several Dunlin plus Lapwings & Blackwits now in double figures. Steve Waite's YL Gull was still about too.
