A Fine Bank Holiday

As well as the excitement of finding a National rarity, I enjoyed lots of good birds without ever leaving the Seaton Patch area during a beautifully cloudy and rainy August BH Weekend. Black Hole still had an excellent selection of waders with a more peachy juvenile Knot joining our initial greyer variant. Up to eight Wood Sands still and a dozen Ruff. Fifty Dunlin, thirty Ringed Plovers, Green and Common Sands, lots of Oystercatchers, Redshanks and Blackwits. We've also had lots of chats about...

I was pleased for Phil Abbot who found this, and was then one of a group that briefly had a Wryneck at the North end of Coly Common. All the locals are turning things up at the moment, what's next one wonders?!
